About

Engineering for the age of inference

I write about building data platforms, AI systems, and cloud infrastructure. No hype. No theory far away from practice. Just what works in production - and what doesn't.

My perspective is drawn from the trenches. I’ve worked on the infrastructure for the world's largest online retailer and delivered the data warehouse for League of Legends, serving 100M+ users.

My focus is on data engineering and platform architecture at scale. I've built systems that process billions of events daily. I've also seen teams drown in unnecessary complexity. Both experiences taught me something.

This blog covers the decisions that likely don't make it into vendor whitepapers:

  • How to cut cloud costs without cutting reliability.
  • When to rewrite in Rust, and when not to.
  • The organizational patterns that let teams ship, and the ones that quietly kill momentum.

I write for engineers who lead and leaders who still engineer. If you want signal over noise, you're in the right place.
